Decision 2008: Presidential Power Rankings #15

Here are this weeks rankings.

Republicans

1st: Rudolph Giuliani (steady) Giuliani's lead has stopped growing, but it remains wide. Giuliani is surprisingly remaining strong. I still expect Giuliani's numbers to decrease and for him to lose his frontrunner status to either McCain or Romney.

2nd: John McCain (steady) McCain, to my surprise is falling in suport, but I would never count him out. he is a strong candidate and along with Romney, the most presidential candidate running. His immense experience could also help him rebound.

3rd: Mitt Romney (rising) His endorsement and financial support continues to be impressive and is cotinuing to slowly rise in polls. I expect Romney to rise even more with Newt's slip.

4th: Chuck Hagel (rising) This Monday could be the start or the end of the Hagel momentum train to the nomination. I expect Hagel to gain in support if he decides to run for president.

5th: Newt Gingrich (falling) Gingrich's slip about his affair could really hurt his presidential chances. Gingirch continues to ruin his chances. gingrich did have high numbers awhile ago, but he continues to slip in polls while Mitt Romney strengthens in numbers.

Democrats

1st: Hillary Clinton (falling) A new American Research Poll has Obama only 3 point behind Hillary. Hillary's lead has fallen and Obama continues to grow in support. I think Hillary has a fight on her hands.

2nd: Barack Obama (rising) Obama continues to griw by almost 5 points every week if this continues he could for the first time take the lead away from Hillary.

3rd: John Edwards (falling) New national polls and polls in South Carolina show Edwards in a distant third. The only factor Edwards can rely on is that he is the most electable Democrat.

4th: Bill Richardson (steady) His experience has yet to help his poor numbers. he may drop soon and lead the way for maybe a Clark or Biden rebound.

5th: Joe Biden (steady) Biden has poor national numbers but averages between 2-5% in key states. These numbers show a possible rebound after his announcement slum.
