Decision 2008: News on Third Party Candidates, and Poll Updates.

This week in my poll the write-in candidates have surged and have tahen away from major candidates, and Evan Bayh has taken a strong lead.

Politics-Central Presidential Poll
(D)Evan Bayh 48%
(R)John McCain 40%
(L)Michael Badnerik 5% (Write-In)
(I)Steve Adams 3% (Write-In)
(G)Pat LaMarche 2% (Write-In)
(I)Daniel Imperato 1% (Write-In)
Other 1%

Most sites are always concerned about the two major party candidates, that they ignore the threat third partied hold. These parties can steal votes away from major candidates and decide the election and in some races have come within stricking distance of the White House. Here are some candidates from Third Parties and some info. on them.

Green Party Candidates or Possible Candidates

1st-Pat LaMarche-popular Write-In candidate in our poll, she recieved a great showing in the Maine Governor's race. She recieved almost 10%! She is certainly the front runner for the Greens. She currently is the Party's National Co-Chair a businesswoman, the 2004 VP candidate and 2002 and 2006 Gubernatorial Candidate.

2nd-Cynthia McKinney-I believe Mrs. McKinney would definately recive the nomination for President if she ran, but will she run? She lost her reelection bid in a primary runoff for her congressional seat, but this Congressman will not stay down for long.

3rd-The other 5 or 6 contenders are all tied in our opinion, because no one knows who they are. The other possible contenders are Global Exchange Founder and Peace Activist Medea Benjamin, Attorney, State Senate Aide and '02 Governor Candidate, New Paltz Deputy Mayor and National Party Co-Chair Rebecca Rotzler, and Activist Kat Swift.

Libertarian Party Candidates and Possible Candidates.

1st-George Phillies- A writer and College Professor, this guy is a major threat to other candidates in the party. He is building in support rapidly and is probably the front runner, so far defeating, 2004 Nominee Michael Badnerik.

2nd-Michael Badnerik- The 2004 Presidential Nominee might want another shot at the White House. He came in a pitiful 4% in his congressional bid when he rasied over twice as much as the Democrat.

3rd-Steve Kubby- Lagging in support to Phillies, after the Marijuana legalization measure was denied by voters in his state and he supported that. He is gaining the in internet support so I wouldn't rule him out.

4th-Robert Milnes-Party Activist Milnes is gaining fascination from internet viewers and is gaining slowly.

5th-Christine Smith-Also gaining in internet support after The Next Prez Interview. The writer might also be a force to be reconded with.

Consititution Party Candidate and possible candidates

1st- Jim Gilchrist- Retired Accountant Gilchrist has gained little support but is probably one of most known candidate sin this minor party.

2nd-Michael Peroutka-The 2004 nominee is taking his time in jumping in thie race, but should gain steam when he does.

3rd-Chuck Baldwin- Pastor and party Activist and Leader should gain in support as well.

4h-Jim Clymer- Probably wont go anywhere, but he is the national party chairman.

Prohibiton Party Candidate: Gene Amondson, the 2004 nominee will likey be the nominee again with on other real challengers.

Independent or Write-In Presidential Candidates
(I)Steve Adams-Internet Software Seller and Local Pastor
(I)Cris Ericson-Vermont frequent candidate
(I)Vinnie Ferrari-N/A
(I)Daniel Imperato-Big Businessman and GOP Activist
(I)Arthur Regen-N/A
(I)Joe Schriner-N/A
(I)Ben Thompson-N/A
(I)Rick Williams-N/A

Fmr. Minnesota Governor Jesse Ventura has started a indenpendent campaign, but has announced interest. He probably won't run though.

That is all for today

Sorry No Picture

This blog is misinformed about Mr. Kubby, who is NOT affiliated with the initiative in Colorado to legalize small amounts of marijuana, nor is he even a Colorado resident. Mr. Kubby, who gave three speeches in Colorado to help the initiative, did help write and pass California's medical marijuana law, Prop. 215 and even went to jail to uphold the law as it was written and passed.

Daniel Imperato is hardly a GOP Activist. He learned about the system through the Republicans became upset about the corruption and became an independent. Logical progression if you ask me. Look at his site www.imperato2008.com
