Decision 2008: Presidential Power Rankings Week #16 McCain coming back?

Here are this weeks Presidential Power Rankings:

Republicans

1st (Tied): John McCain (rising) McCain comes out on top in Iowa and New Hampshire. He also comes out on top in MI, SC, and FL which are expected to have primaries after NH. With 5 wins in those states that is enogh to put him back in the #1 spot for the first time in 2 months. Even though he trails in Nationwide polls these states are enough to take the nomination.

1st (Tied): Rudolph Giuliani (steady) Giuliani still remains ahead by double digits in nationwide polls, however he is falling in key states. Giuliani's is lagging from Fred Thompson's entrance and McCain's campaign start.

2nd: Mitt Romney (steady) New polls out of New Hampshire show Romney within striking distance of winning there. Only 6 points behind McCain there if his numbers improve in New Hampshire he could become a serious threat to frontrunners: McCain and Giuliani.

3rd: Fred Thompson (rising) Thompson enters the race with hight poll ratings in key states and is within striking distance of Top-Tier candidates. Should he decide to run this Actor who played the president could actually become president.

4th: Newt Gingrich (falling) Romney and Thompson are starting to pass Gingirch in polls and in support. His delay in running will end his chances. I dont see him running.

5th: Chuck Hagel (falling) Hagel is falling in polls and we stillaren't sure he will even run. Hagel I think is killing his chances by waiting.

Democrats:

1st: Hillary Clinton (steady) Hillary has finally stopped falling in support, however the damage has been done. Nationwide polls now find her main challengers at least 5 points higher and her 15-20 points lower. can Hillary rebound?

2nd: Barack Obama (rising) With Edwards slum in polls we will continue to rate Obama as rising. Obama now is within striking distance of the #1 spot.

3rd: John Edwards (falling) Edwards's wife's new probably doesn't help his recent slip in numbers. Obama and Clinton continue to slip away as he loses his top tier status.

4th: Wesley Clark (steady) It still seems unlikely that he will run, however he remains a strong 2nd tier candidate.

5th: Bill Richardson (steady) No real changes from ast week. Same old same old.
